Fatherless Daughters Speak Out

A power event is taking place this coming weekend to help address teen girls who are feeling the pain of growing up without their dad.  It’s called the Fatherless Daughters Speak-Out.  I’m joined this morning by one of the organizers of the event – Author and Journalist, Jonetta Barras.

The Fatherless Daughters Speak out is designed to educate the public, especially girls between the ages of 13 and 17 about the affects of growing up without the presence or active engagement of their fathers in their lives.  Event will be held May 20th from 10am to 12pm at Potter’s House at 1658 Columbia Road, NW.
