It’s a Valentine’s Weekend



  • The Valentine’s Love Jam is this Saturday at the Eagle Bank Arena, featuring Tyrese, Joe, SWV, Dru Hill and Next. Doors open at 7, show kicks off at 8pm


  • The Valentine’s Soul Jam is at DAR Constitution Hall Friday night, with The Stylistics, The Emotions, The Delphonics, Blue Magic and the Manhattans. Hosted by our very own “C” of the Time Tunnel.  Show time is 8pm.


  • Howard University Bison Express presents an evening with Darin Atwater and Soulful Symphony, Saturday, February 17th @ 7pm at Crampton Auditorium. It’s called “To DC with Love.”  More information here:


  • Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival is February 16th – 18th at the Hilton Rockville. The mission of the festival is to assist emerging jazz artists in their educational and artistic development, offer a wider base for the presentation of jazz, and insure the continuation of jazz education and performance in public schools and institutions of higher learning.  For more information go here:

  • Women’s Voices Theater Festival
    DC’s theater communitycomes together again to mount a citywide festival in celebration of female playwrights. This month-long festival (ending Feb. 15) will celebrate the incredible impact that women have on theater, from behind-the-scenes roles to starring on stage. More than 20 theaters in the metro area will stage a new play by a woman, including Folger Theatre, Ford’s Theatre and Shakespeare Theatre Company.– so get your tickets today!
