Providing Coats for Homeless Children

The Children’s Charities Foundation is on a mission this morning to provide a new coat to every homeless child in the District.  Joining me this morning to talk about their effort and a big event they have coming up this Thursday is the founder Pete Teely.

Children’s Charities Foundation is providing some 2,000 homeless children in the District with new coats this Thursday, December 15th just in time for winter.  The coats are made possible from fundraising efforts including from the BB&T Classic, which took place December 4th.  WHUR and Howard University have chipped in to provide hats and gloves to the youth from the generous support of our sponsors and listeners.
