We are getting you black tie ready this morning on Taking It to the Streets.  The 6th Annual Richard Wright Black Tie Gala is coming up this weekend honoring those persons in the DMV who inspire our youth in the media and entertainment industry.  My special guest is Dr. Marco Clarke – Founder and CEO of Richard Wright Public Charter School for Journalism and Media Arts.

Richard Wright Public Charter School for Journalism and Media Arts presents the Richard Wright 6th Annual Black Tie Gala Saturday, June 10th from 6pm to 10pm at the magnificent Warner Theatre in beautiful downtown DC! This year’s theme “Inspiring the Next Generation” honors notable individuals as inspirational leaders for youth in the media and entertainment industry. The Richard Wright Black Tie Gala 2016 is the biggest fundraiser of the year for this public charter school that has been named one of the 41 most innovative schools in America!
