The Afro American Newspapers – A Major Voice in The Black Community

125 years of covering the stories most important to the Black community.  That’s been the goal and mission of the Afro American Newspapers.  Coming up this weekend, the Afro will be marking its anniversary with a Black Tie Gala at Martin’s Crosswinds.  My guest is LaTrina Antoine – DC Editor for the Washington Afro American Newspapers

Afro Charities Inc. presents 125th Anniversary Gala August 12th from 7:30pm to 12am at Martin’s Crosswinds in Greenbelt.  Honoree and Guest Speaker will be Margo Lee Shetterly – Author of Hidden Figures.
