It’s Dr. King Day.  WHUR is teaming up again with Fannie Mae to honor the rich legacy of the civil rights icon by hosting our Annual Town Hall Meeting at First Baptist Church of Glenarden later this morning in Upper Marlboro.  This year’s theme is “We Got Next,” Millennials Taking Up the Social Justice Banner.” Joining me with the details of the event is Jean Yannick  Project Analyst at Fannie Mae

Make Dr. Ding Day “a day on and not a day off.”  join WHUR for our Annual Dr. King town hall discussion January 15th from 10am to 12pm at First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Upper Marlboro.  This year’s theme is “We Got Next… Millennials Taking Up the Social Justice Banner.”  Plus enjoy a special musical performance by Gospel Sensation Donald Lawrence.  The free event is sponsored in part by Fannie Mae and First Baptist Church of Glenarden.   In addition to the discussion, we will also have organizations on hand that are working in the community to improve race relations.
