October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and WHUR is teaming up with Verizon to present “Behind Closed Doors”, an evening with Iyanla Vanzant Tuesday, October 21st from 7:30pm to 9pm at Cramton Auditorium.  “Behind Closed Doors” will be an inter-active discussion with both survivors and former perpetrators of abuse.  The event is designed to give a platform to discuss domestic violence in a safe non-judgmental environment while at the same time providing resources to those who may be in need.  The event is free and open to the public.  But you must register on line at whur.com to attend.

Tune into Taking it to the Streets weekday mornings at, 6:46am, 7:13am  and at 8:13am  on the Steve Harvey morning show on 96.3 WHUR.
