“Taking it to the Streets Weekend Haps”

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, so here are some events taking place this weekend:

The Time to Fly Foundation is hosting their 13th Annual Fundraiser, “Night of Hope & Performance”.  This event is taking place Saturday October 25th at the St. Dunston’s  Episcopal Church 1830 Kirby Rd. Sisters 4 Sisters, Incorporated is hosting their 9th Annual Domestic & Sexual Violence Prayer Breakfast, called “Silent Tears No More.” This breakfast buffet is happening Saturday October 25th at Martins Crosswinds, located at 7400 Greenway Center Drive, in Greenbelt Maryland.  The doors open at 8 am and the event is from 9 – noon.  To find out more information about this event log onto www.sisters4sisters.com.

Other events taking place:

The Prince William County Department of Housing and First Home Alliance is working to help you make more informed money choices, by offering a free Financial Empowerment program.   This event will take place from 9am to 1pm, on Saturday, October 25th at the Dr. A.J.
