Taking it to the Streets Weekend Haps

As you know it’s the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Weekend and there are few fun things for you to do.

The legendary Chaka Khan will be at D.A.R Constitution Hall with special guest Loose Ends. The show starts a 8pm and there are a few tickets lefts so go to ticketmaster.com to get yours.

Joe Clair of the Frank Ski Show will be your host at Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper club for two show with Cameo that’s right the one and only 70’s super group will be having two shows one at 7pm and another at 10pm to celebrate over 33 years of giving us the Funk!. There are only a hands full of seats left so check out Bethesda blues jazz dot com to get yourself a seat.

Then on Monday we will have our Annual Dr. King Day Town Hall meeting starting a 10am and lasting until 12:30pm at First Baptist Church of Glenarden located at 600 Watkins Park Dr in Upper Marlboro Maryland. This year’s topic is “Beyond the Color of Our Skin”.  We will have a panel of esteem guests to discuss this topic and a special musical performance by national gospel recording artist CeCe Winans. This is a free event and is open to the public and is presented in partnership with First Baptist Church of Glenarden, Telemundo TV and WHUR.

Remember this Martin Luther King weekend is a time to serve you community and is not just a day off, so if you can’t come out to any of our events, just go out in your community and make a difference this weekend.
