This morning on “Taking it to the Streets” my guest will be Tonya SmallwoodPresident and CEO of Family Matters

It’s estimated that the average cost of prom and graduation season for families can be a whopping 12-hundred dollars for each child. Family Matters is hosting several events to help Washington area youth get ready for their prom. On Thursday, April 9th from 4 to 7pm, there will be a free prom dress giveaway at the MLK Library in NW. On Wednesday, April 15th from 3 to 6pm, Family Matters will host another prom giveaway at its 16th Street, NW offices. On April 22nd, the organization will giveaway suits, shirts, and ties for the young men. For more information, visit www.familymattersdc.org
