My guest is Michele Jones, the Founder and President of the “Time to Fly” Foundation.  The “Time to Fly” Foundation is hosting their Spring fundraiser – Salsa for the Soul, an evening of fun and dance for both experienced and non-experienced dancers. The event is Saturday May 2nd 2015 from 6pm-10pm at the St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, 1830 Kirby Rd. McLean, Va. The Northern Virginia Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, in association with the Northern Virginia Delta Education and Community Service Foundation, will host the Third Annual Trailblazer Awards and Scholarship Gala on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel, 2800 South Potomac Avenue in Arlington, VA. They will be awarding scholarships to local youth and will award the first-ever “Trailblazer” Awards in civil rights, justice and equality, to Reverend Al Sharpton, president of the National Action Network and Mr. Pierre Thomas, ABC News Senior Justice Correspondent. The Funk Parade 2015 is this Saturday May 2nd and will feature over 50 music acts and dozens more dance and performance groups. The day fair is from 12pm to 5pm and the parade is from 5pm to 7pm. The music festival starts at 7pm and at 10pm there will be an after party at the Howard Theatre.
