Thursday May 29th   – Sunday June 1st

  • Now if you’re a Maryland residence and need to register to vote you need to come to the WHUR Voter Registration… Voter Education Drive tomorrow at the Silver Spring Civic Building at Veterans Plaza. That rights across the street the Majestic Movie theatre.  The Frank Ski show will be broadcasting live so you can come met Frank Ski, Joe Clair, and the whole crew. They will be there from 3pm to 7pm so stop by on your way home from work.
  • Tonight at 7 you can go to the Birchmere for a night with the legendary funky Latina Drummer Shelia. E.
  • Friday at the Bethesda Blues and Jazz club you can catch “A Taste of Divas DC” starring soulful R&B singer songwriter Teri S, from Be’la Dona Sweet Cherie,  singers Deborah  (De-BOR-rah) Bond and Shawn Allen, Sylver Logan Sharp of Chic and the one and only Maysa.
  • Saturday R&B singer A’ngela Winbush will be at the Howard theatre with special guest Brad Marquis. The show starts at 8pm.
  • On Sunday you can have Brunch at the Howard Theatre with the Harlem Gospel Choir for the weekly Howard Gospel Brunch.  Brunch starts at 1pm
