Taking it to the Streets
Weekend Haps

• Tonight at 8pm you can check out classic hip hop group Cypress Hill at the Fillmore in Silver Spring to get your weekend off with a bang.

• On Saturday night, D. Scott, Steve Mathis, J&J Entertainment and Associates are having their “Nightmare in the DMV Part 2”, at the Crystal City Hilton. So come out in your best Halloween Costume and enjoy music from DJ Battle, Dj Life and DJ Hostility. It all starts at 9pm

• On Sunday the “Festival of Praise” will take place at Constitution Hall at 7pm. This years line up features Stellar award winners Fred Hammond, Donnie McClurkin, Kim Burrell, Isaac Carree, Jessica Reedy, and Comedian Marcus Wiley. And there is a rumor that Israel Houghton and Hezekiah Walker might be there too.

Lastly just want to give you some tips to keep your kids have a safe on Saturday night which is Halloween. Here are a few tips to remember:

1. Fasten reflective tape to costumes and bags to help drivers see them at night.

2. Examine all treats for choking hazards and check to see if the candy has been tampered with before letting your child eat them.

3. Have your child take a flash light with them when they go for trick-or-treat so they can see where they’re going.

4. Eat only factory-wrapped treats. Avoid eating homemade treats made by strangers.

Also, remember to set your clocks back 1-hour on Saturday night.

Tune into Taking it to the Streets weekday mornings at 6:46am, 7:13am and at 8:13am on the Steve Harvey morning show.
