This Morning on Taking It to The Streets

Lights, camera, action!!! We are taking you to the theatre this morning and putting the spotlight on The Howard University Department of Theatre Arts. The are presenting the production of Sarafina with opening night set for this Wednesday. Joining me this morning with all the details is Brittany Clark – an HU Theatre Major and one of the stars of Sarafina.

The Howard University Department of Theatre Arts presents Sarafina that chronicles the 1976 black student led movement in Soweto to protest against the government decree imposing the official language of Afrikaans to be taught in classes instead of their own language of Zulu. Sarafina will be presents in the Ira Aldridge Theatre beginning March 4th thru March 12th. www.howard.edu/theatrearts
