 The Afro American Newspaper marks its 122nd anniversary this year, and they’re celebrating with an elaborate “Afro Legacy Gala.” This event will celebrate the AFRO’s existence as one of the oldest family-owned, continuously operated African-American newspapers in the country. The “AFRO Legacy Gala” will be held on Aug. 15, at 7 p.m. at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of African-American History located at 830 E. Pratt Street in Baltimore, MD 21202.
