“Taking it to the Streets Weekend Haps”

Friday Oct. 10th  – Saturday Oct. 11th

  • WHUR is gearing up for our “Season of Giving” starting this weekend with our Annual Children’s Coat Drive taking place this  SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11TH FROM 12PM TO 4PM. Now this year we will be at a new location, instead of being  at the Iverson Mall, we will be at the YMCA’s Potomac Overlook in Fort Washington, at the Shopping Center on Indian Head Highway.  We will also be at the Central Union Mission in N.W DC on Massachusetts Ave.  Now, Tony Richards will be at the new YMCA location in Fort Washington and Troy Johnson will be at the Central Union Mission in NW, DC.  So, whichever location works best for you, come out and support our efforts with helping children in the DMV stay warm for the Winter by donating a new coat, a hat, gloves, or scarfs.   Remember that’s this Saturday, October 11th from 12noon to 4pm.  WHUR’s “Season of Giving”.
  • Now last but not least, treat yourself to a night of laughs with Mike Epps.  He will be at the Warner Theater for two nights, Friday at 8pm and again on Saturday at 7pm.
