Atlanta Anchor Sharon Reed Claps Back At Viewer Who Called Her The N-Word

Atlanta CBS news anchor Sharon Reed‘s response to a racist viewer’s hate email is going viral this morning.

The CBS46 anchor and her fellow anchors asked viewers to chime in on social media regarding Atlanta’s Mayor’s race Tuesday evening. They asked viewers if they thought race played a role in the election between candidates Keisha Lance Bottoms and Mary Norwood. As viewers joined the conversation on social media via the #CBS46talkback, Reed shared a hateful email from a viewer. Reed’s response was CLASSIC! Take a look:

The anchor’s poise, grace and professionalism was incredible. Social media went crazy praising the anchor and her classy response to racism.

Here are some of my favorite tweets:

Don’t come for Sharon Reed unless she sends for you! By the way, Keisha Lance Bottoms was elected the 60th mayor of Atlanta. Mary Norwood is asking for a recount. Congratulations!

Now readjust your crown and carry on. All in a day’s work… THANK YOU Sharon Reed! #BlackGirlMagic
