Beth Mowins, First Woman To Announce NFL Game In 30 Years

ESPN‘s Beth Mowins will be the first woman in 30 years to announce a NFL game. She will announce the Chargers vs Broncos game scheduled for Sept. 11.

The last woman to call play-by-play for an NFL regular season game was Gayle Sierens who called the Seahawks vs Chiefs on the final Sunday of the 1987 season. Sierens retired in 2015.

Mowins has called college football games for ESPN for several years.
