Beyonce, Oprah, Shonda Rhimes And Serena Williams Make Forbes’ List Of Most Powerful Women In Entertainment

Forbes just released this year’s list of most powerful women in the entertainment industry and Beyonce, Oprah Winfrey, Shonda Rhimes and Serena Williams all made the prestigious list. Oprah topped the list claiming the No. 1 spot. Beyonce wasn’t too far behind coming in at No. 6. Shonda Rhimes took the No. 12 spot and tennis champ Serena Williams came in at No. 14.

This past summer Oprah Winfrey signed a new multi-year content deal with Apple for new original programs and extended her contract with the network through 2025.

Late last year Shonda inked a multi-year deal with Netflix, ending a 15-year relationship with ABC. Shondaland, will begin producing new series for Netflix while she continues her current broadcast series.

Beyonce’s Coachella performance, joint album with hubby Jay-Z and last summer’s On The Run II tour aided in The Queen reigning supreme.

Serena came back strong with a phenomenal year after the birth of her daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.
