Cissy Houston, mother and grandmother to the legendary Whitney Houston and Bobbi Kristina Brown, is allegedly battling the early stages of dementia.

A source close to the Houston family matriarch allegedly said to Radar Online, “She’s in the early stages of dementia… She repeats herself a lot and doesn’t remember what she says. She just says she’s getting old,” in a statement to the blog.

Just recently, the Gospel singer responded to abuse accusations made against her neice Dee Dee Warwick. According to the new documentary about her daughter, Whitney Houston’s, life and career, both she and her brother were sexually abused by the cousin at a young age.

Radar Online also reported earlier this week Houston disowned her son, Gary, for the allegations against the family member saying she told him she was cutting him out of her will. Sources told the blog that the news has had a negative effect on the matriarch’s health.
