Common and Tank Confirmed for HU Charter Day

Howard University is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. The Sesquicentennial celebration recognizes the historical milestones, achievements, and positive impact the University has had since its founding in 1867.

Today Howard University President, Dr. Wayne A. I. Frederick announced Grammy award winning artist, actor, film producer and poet Common has been confirmed as the Master of Ceremony at the Charter Day Dinner. Grammy nominated singer-songwriter and producer Tank will perform at the dinner.

Howard University Alumnus and Board of Trustee, Mark A. L. Mason will deliver the University’s 2017 Charter Day address, The address is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Cramton Auditorium on the University’s main campus. Watch the live stream on
