The film has won many awards from an Academy Award for the song, “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” by Elton John and Tim Rice, to winning two Grammy Awards with the soundtrack that sold over 14 million copies, to winning six Tony Awards for the 1997 Broadway debut.

The live-action film cast members include Donald Glover, or as many may call him Childish Gambino, who will be the voice of Simba, Beyonce’ will voice Nala, James Earl Jones will voice Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor, actor from hit movie “12 Years a Slave,” will voice Scar, Billy Eichner, actor from TV show “American Horror Story” will voice Timon, and Seth Rogen, actor and comedian, will voice Pumbaa.

The remake was confirmed back in September of 2016 after the big success of Disney’s remake of the 1967 animated film, “The Jungle Book.”

The movie that captured the hearts of many, that made tears from the eyes of kids and adults fall, will be back on the big screen July 19th in 2019.
