President-elect Donald J. Trump‘s incoming approval rating is around 40%, the lowest ever of any incoming President. The new CNN/ORC Poll is 44 points less than the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama.

Trump’s shaky dealings during the transition of power are placing doubt in the minds of Americans. According to the poll Americans’ confidence in Trump and his ability to execute the job is just not there.

Trump took to twitter to respond to the new poll:

Trump supporter, Rep. Sean Duffy, said the President-elect’s ongoing battle with the media has hurt his image.

“What’s happening here is the public fight that Mr. Trump is having with CNN and other media groups has taken some skin off his poll numbers and it’s gone down,” he told CNN’s Chris Cuomo Tuesday on “New Day.”
