Elizabeth Warren Not Allowed to Read Coretta Scott King’s Letter Criticizing Jeff Sessions

In 1986 Martin Luther King Jr.‘s widow Coretta Scott King wrote a letter to Sen. Strom Thurmond criticizing Jeff Sessions. Sessions is currently awaiting confirmation to become Attorney General of the United States.

On Tuesday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren attempted to read the letter on the Senate floor. Warren was charged with impugning another senator and not allowed to read part of the letter. Warren went on to share the letter with the media.
