Gabrielle Union Launches Hair Care and Clothing Lines

Actress Gabrielle Union can now add entrepreneur to her resume. The Being Mary Jane leading lady has just launched a hair care line as well as a clothing line.

Union stopped putting harsh chemicals like relaxers in her hair at the age of 25. She wanted to create a product to strengthen and protect the hair of women of color.

“When you take care of your own natural hair when you wear wigs, weaves and extensions… Around 25 years old, I stopped using relaxers and slowly grew my natural hair out. It’s been a helluva hair journey. We are all on a hair journey. I created #Flawless for all of us on this journey of having healthy, nourished and nurtured hair. This is for those curious about my natural hair and needed proof it actually existed,” she posted on Instagram.

The product line, Flawless by Gabrielle Unionconsists of ten products including shampoos and conditioners, edge control, shine spray, blow dry cream and heat protectant spray. The products contain a unique blend of argan, avocado and marula oils.

Not only is Union expanding in the hair care realm, she is also trying her hand in a line of clothing. She’s undeniably stylish, from her tv/movie roles to her everyday attire, Mrs. Union-Wade looks great in damn near everything. She partnered up with New York & Company as the new face of their 7th Ave collection. Her items are stylish, affordable, quality pieces for every woman.

“I want to bring a Gabrielle spin to New York & Company by adding a unique element of style to the office—chic jumpsuits in the boardroom, dramatic coats over suiting,” said Union.

Union says that this partnership is a “whole new game.” She added, “I am excited to work with a brand that’s known for embracing diversity and that caters specifically to women — especially women who want to look on-point without breaking the bank. I can’t wait to show everyone what I’ve been working on!”
