Jay Z Becomes First Rapper Inducted Into Songwriters Hall of Fame

Shawn Carter, better known as Jay Z, announced today that he has joined the Songwriters Hall of Fame Class of 2017. The mogul has received over a hundred honors during his career and now he has joined the likes of greats such as Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, and Otis Redding, just to name a few.

Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Berry Gordy, and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis will also be inducted this year. Congrats gentlemen!
