JetBlue Caps Flights So Hurricane Irma Evacuees Can Afford To Fly To Safety

So while most airlines are price gouging in an attempt to increase profits during a major natural disaster, JetBlue put the people first and decided to cap flights at $99 for Hurricane Irma evacuees. And we THANK YOU JetBlue!

Th Huffington Post is reporting, direct flights from every Florida city in which JetBlue operates are capped at $99 and connecting flights will be no more than $159, including taxes.

JetBlue spokesman Doug McGraw stated, “we want those trying to leave ahead of the hurricane to focus on their safe evacuation rather than worry about the cost of flights.”

Screenshots of astronomical fares are being shared all over social media forcing airlines to follow JetBlue’s selfless gesture. Some industry insiders are blaming the excessive fares on glitches in computer programs.
