Joe Biden Will Announce If He’s Running For President In January

Former vice president Joe Biden announced Tuesday, while at a forum in Bogota, that he will decide whether to run for president or not in January.

“I know I have to make up my mind and I have to do it by January,” Biden said.

He said that after the midterm elections in November he would hold an “altar call” and gauge whether a run would be successful, both in terms of financial and overall support, USA Today reports.

In a June poll conducted by Harvard CAPS/Harris, Joe Biden was the choice of 32 percent of Democrats to unseat President Donald Trump in the 2020 election. Hillary Clinton came in second with 18 percent and Sen. Bernie Sanders came in third with 16 percent.
