Judge Denies Request To Move Prince Music Vault Away From Wildfires

A judge denied a request to relocate Prince‘s vault of unreleased music, filed by the heirs of the late singer’s estate, away from the California wildfires. The judge did not feel the vault is in any danger.

According to TheBlast.com, lawyers for Comerica write:

“Had the Nelsons contacted the Personal Representative prior to filing their petition, or even conducted a basic ‘Google’ search, they would have learned that the Hollywood Facility is not at any risk from wildfires.”

Court documents read:

“Before reaching the Hollywood Facility, the fire would need to pass through the UCLA campus, all of Beverly Hills, and several miles of commercial areas in West Hollywood.”

The presiding judge ruled in favor of Comerica citing:

“The Court strongly condemns bringing this matter before the Court without adequate discussion between the parties and will sanction a party for doing so in the future.”
