It wasn't until #lapride that I learned of the Orlando shooting, and I just have really disgusting knot in my stomach. I truly don't understand how people can find comfort in hate and feel like they have the right to take other people's lives away because of it. I really wish they could see this quote every time attempt to do something so hateful. We marched today in honor of so many beautiful lives lost too soon, and were blessed by the Angels that be who caught the man trying to do the same thing in LA. You really can't take waking up every day or seeing people that you love for granted nowadays and I just wish it wasn't for such ugly reasons. 13 JUN: Mourners gather under an LGBT pride flag flying at half-mast, in San Diego, California, for a candlelight vigil in remembrance for mass shooting victims in Orlando, Florida. US President Barack Obama has described Sunday morning's gun attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, as "an act of terror and an act of hate". Americans were united in "grief, outrage and resolve to defend our people", he said. Omar Mateen, 29, killed 50 people and wounded 53 at the Pulse club before being shot dead by police. The so-called Islamic State group has said it was behind the attack, but the extent of its involvement is not clear.
