‘Nightly News’ Pulls Tamron Hall After Prince’s Drug Overdose Confirmed

Tamron Hall

Tamron Hall was originally scheduled to fill in for Lester Holt on “NBC Nightly News” Thursday and Friday but once Prince‘s drug overdose was confirmed Thursday, the network decided to pull the anchor.

The decision to pull Tamron doesn’t come much as a surprise especially since the anchor has been extremely open about her very close relationship with the music icon Prince. The anchor also, understandably, took off for quite some time upon learning of Prince’s death. Who would want to report on the death of a dear friend?

Page Six is reporting:

Tamron and NBC News execs discussed it and decided together it was best for her to not fill in [Thursday or Friday]. She’s been open about her friendship with Prince, so for her, this is more than a news story. She’ll fill in again soon.”

Tamron, we love and support you. Our prayers are with you during this difficult time.
