It has been 31 years since someone received a medal in every event at the World Gymnastics Championship. Simone Biles just changed that and she is the first American to ever do so.

The championship took place in Doha, Qatar and Biles walked away with six medals. Despite being diagnosed with a kidney stone before competing Biles manages to make history.

Biles returned to the mat after taking a year off following her Olympic win in 2016. Her record breaking performance at the World Gymnastics Championship shows that she hasn’t missed a beat.

Congratulations Simone!
