Snoop Dogg to Induct Tupac Shakur Into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Rapper Snoop Dogg will induct the late rapper Tupac Shakur into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame April 7 in Brooklyn. The two were friends and labelmates on Death Row Records. This year’s induction ceremony will be held at the Barclays Center. Pearl Jam, Yes, Joan Baez, Journey and Electric Light Orchestra will also be honored.

Tupac in the sixth rapper to receive the honor behind Run-D.M.C., Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five, the Beastie Boys, Public Enemy and N.W.A.

The rumor mill says Dr. Dre and Snoop could team up for a musical tribute but at this time, no lineup has been announced.
