The world has had a front row seat to witnessing the first daughters, Sasha and Malia Obama, grow up before our eyes into beautiful and intelligent young ladies. We have fallen in love with the public displays of affection between The President and First Lady Michelle Obama sparking the popularity of hashtags like #relationshipgoals and #blacklove on social media. Without even realizing it, The Obamas have created a blueprint of how relationships should be.
Here are some memorable moments captured and shared on social media under the hashtag #FarewellObama.
Thank You, & Farewell @barackobama & @michelleobama. True admiration for these two leaders. You two will always be OUR POTUS & FLOTUS. Made the people, this country & this generation believe in CHANGE! You even made my 88yr old(at the time) Grandmother rest her soul, BELIEVE. She told me she couldn't believe this nation, or it's leaders would let a black man become president. She's seen such bad things in her time done to Black people that she couldn't BELIEVE it would happen. I told her it will happen!! And she was the 1st person I called when you WON!! And she said she will BELIEVE from now on at 88 yrs old. She passed in 2016 but I'm so happy she got to see you be President. So thank you for making us BELIEVE. 🇺🇸 #FarewellObama
#farewellObama #barackobama #presidencia #politica #notiespartano
To my President & the First Family, Thank you for showing us what style and grace looks like (hence the photo I chose). Thank you for showing us what BLACK love is capable of. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for remaining humble despite all your accomplishments. Thank you for giving us hope these past 8 years and never giving up on humanity! I can't say thank you enough for all that you've done, but I can honestly say you will be missed ❤️😢 #farewellobama #theobamas #potus #flotus
Cannot express enough thank you's to our 44th president who so gracefully and courageously ran this country for the past 8 years. You have given this country so much HOPE, You have made HISTORY, & most importantly You have reassured dream chasers like myself that the sky is the limit & ANYTHING is possible. THANK YOU 🇺🇸🙏🏾 #farewellobama #bestpresidentever #corqscru #dreamchaser #anythingispossible #potus #flotus
Thank you President and First Lady Obama for all you've done for the country we love!!! You two will truly be missed but never forgotten! #farewellobama #presidentobama #wewillmissyou #ispeakpr #entrepreneurship #wecandoit #wedidit #legacy #america #wewerealreadygreat
Farewell to the most down to earth, brilliant, kind and open minded presidential family we've ever known. To all the haters, you don't know what you've got until it's gone. Our world is about to turn upside down over the next four years and the only comfort I have walking into the mess we've made is that beautiful people like the Obamas are still here to help us clean it up. You will be sorely missed. Thank you for a truly revolutionary eight years 💔 #farewellobama #fourmoreyears #POTUS #FLOTUS #missyoualready
Real life, life goals. I don't know if we'll ever see another intelligent first family with such grace & elegance in our lifetime. I am so grateful to have witnessed this presidency. Thank you for everything, but especially for inspiring all of us & for believing in us as much as we believed in you. #FarewellObama
I supported a man through two elections and watched his acceptance speeches. I listened to a man orate countless Presidential Addresses and was in attendance at his second Inauguration. I had the opportunity to flourish and thrive in an economy that, without his guidance and direction, I wouldn't have been able to survive in. He gave me access to healthcare when it was inaccessible and shed light onto the injustices within the criminal justice system. I can proudly say that I supported a man whose moral foundation is reminiscent of Atticus Finch. I supported a man who supported me and my generation; a man who led my country with so much grace, class, and dignity. In this man's words I found inspiration, and in his leadership I found hope. Thank you, President Obama. I'll miss you. #mrpresident #thanksobama #obama #classact #presidentobama #mypresidentisblack #barackobama #goodbyeobama #obamafarewell #farewellobama #thankyou #youwillbemissed #youngpeoplewhovote 🇺🇸
President @barackobama ran his 2008 "Yes We Can" campaign on a word we as Christians know very well, HOPE. As our country's government shifts to a new administration some of us have battled and even questioned the very theme we once took much pride in… HOPE. But aren't you glad to be comforted and led by the word of the Lord reminding us where our HOPE comes from?! __ _ Psalm 62:5-7 📖 Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my HOPE comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. #farewellobama #Hope #FBCLG #FBCLGHOTSPOT
What a wavy dude. Shout to being alive for history. We're always talk about wishing we were alive during past generations but we live in a pretty cool time. Cherish it, appreciate it cause your kids are gonna wish they were living in our generation.. Idk where I'm getting at but shout out to our president. The coolest cat in the nation 🤘🏾#FarewellObama
I was 13, and a Freshman in High School when you were sworn in as the 44th President of the United States. How grateful I am for that day, cannot be be expressed in enough words, but I will try. Your presence in the White House, and outside of it, has taught me one of the greatest lessons I will ever learn: how to persevere in the most negative times. You and Michelle brought a light to the country that was never there. You made the youth feel empowered and understood. You made us feel like you were one of us, just a human being, trying to go through the trials of life with a smile on your face. There will never be another president and First Lady quite like you. I am so blessed and honored to have been alive and present for such a historic and fantastic reign. Thank you for being Black in a space that was never meant for you to be. Thank you for showing the world that Black love does exist, and can remain through the toughest of times. Thank you for restoring hope and for simply being you. ❤ #forevermypresident #farewellobama
