Tamar was in New York promoting her new album Bluebird of Happiness when the medical emergency occurred. At this time there is no word on whether or not she has been released from the hospital.

This isn’t the first time the 40-year-old singer was hospitalized. In November of 2017 she suffered from dangerous blood clots in both of her lungs, sharing that she suffers from a condition known as thoracic outlet syndrome. She had to undergo surgery to have a rib removed as it was an obstruction of the vein.

Tamar recently announced she is retiring from music to focus on her struggling marriage with hubby Vince Herbert. The singer also joined The Great Xscape Tour alongside Xscape, Monica and Nene Leakes.

Our prayers are with you Tamar! We wish you a speedy recovery.
