Tamera Mowry Returns To ‘The Real’ Following Niece’s Murder

“The Real” host, Tamera Mowry, makes an emotional return to the to the talk show on Monday after the death of her niece.  Her niece, Alaina Housley, was 1 out of 12 people killed during the Borderline Bar and Grill massacre earlier this month.

Welcomed with open arms by her co-hosts, Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai and Loni Love,  Mowry broke down as she explained her tragic experience.

She puts a huge emphasis on “moving forward” from the situation and wants to use her platform to advocate for gun control.

“I don’t like to say move on, because I don’t think I’ll ever move on with the fact that she’s not here with me or with our family. But she would want me to move forward and to use her voice as a catalyst for change, and that’s why I am here today.”
