Tiffany Haddish is set to star in Tyler Perry’s newest film The List, alongside Tika Sumpter and Omari Hardwick. The film is currently in the works at Paramount Players and is set for release on Nov. 2.

According to Deadline, in her upcoming roll she will play the wild, recently released from prison, sister, opposite Tika Sumpter  as she confronts the possible reality that she is getting “catfished” by an online boyfriend whom she has never met in person.

Haddish has been an unstoppable force since her starring role in Girls Trip to making history on Saturday Night Live as the first black female stand-up comedian to ever host the show. Haddish gave fellow presenters at the Oscars a run for their money as she cracked joke after joke along side Maya Rudolph, and gained genuine crowd laughter this past Sunday. Tiffany Haddish has been in the industry for over 20 years and has managed to stay true to her unique brand of humor which is often deemed “brash” and “crude” by critics. It is this same humor and determination that catapulted her likeability and keeps her relatable across all demographics.

Perry’s new film is not the only new project Haddish is apart of. She will also star opposite Tracy Morgan on an upcoming TBS sitcom The Last OG, and will co-star alongside Kevin Hart in Universal’s Night School, which is set to release in September.
