Seven-time Grand Slam Champion Venus Williams became ecstatic following a 6-7 (3-7), 6-2, 6-3 win over fellow American Coco Vandeweghe. It’s been nearly eight years since Williams’ last Grand Slam final.

Williams flung her racket in the air and raised her arms in celebration. And then she was was overcome with emotion and cried.

“Everyone has their moment in the sun, maybe mine’s gone on for a while,” Williams said. “I would like to keep it going. I have nothing else to do.”

Williams conquered a battle with the autoimmune disease Sjogren’s Syndrome. She was diagnosed in 2011.

Congrats Venus! Good luck in the finals!
