Viola Davis and Husband Sign Film Production Deal With Amazon

Viola Davis and her husband Julius Tennon teamed up with Amazon for a streaming first look production deal through their company, JuVee Productions.

According to Variety, “Amazon Studios is passionate about building a home for both new and established filmmakers of all backgrounds, who share the same vision in telling incredible and engaging human stories,” Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, said in a statement.”

This is not the first production deal Davis has been involved in this year. Earlier this month Davis teamed up with professional basketball player, Stephen Curry, of the Golden State Warriors, to produce a documentary based on the Charleston shooting.

Davis is also collaborating with Amazon on the upcoming comedy, “Troupe Zero” with Mike Epps which will air in 2019.
