Xscape Hires Vincent Herbert As Manager; Kandi Parts Ways With Xscape

Xscape is making major moves to ensure their success this time around. It’s being widely reported the group has hired Tamar Braxton‘s soon-to-be ex-husband Vincent Herbert as their manager.

The group told HipHollywood.com:

“We sat down with him, had some food and just talked, like how most business takes place, he just got our vision and he saw the potential in us,” explained Tamika.

Herbert is responsible for Lady Gaga‘s career as well as Tamar Braxton’s. He also recently took on another high-profile act, rapper Remy Ma.

We can’t help but to wonder how Tamar feels about Vincent Herbert managing her “BFF” Tamika “Tiny” Harris‘ group. Is that a violation of “friend code?” I’m sure Tiny sat down with Tamar to give her a heads up before we all learned of the news. And with Tamar also on the #GreatXscapeTour comeback tour, how will that work? It doesn’t appear Tamar and Vince are on the best of terms especially since her sisters and mother have been in the news lately claiming Vince is trying to kill Tamar. Sounds like there will be a lot of drama backstage.

Now back to Xscape… in the finale of Bravo’s Xscape: Still Kickin’ It, we learned that although Kandi has joined the group for their national tour, she decided against recording any new music with Xscape. This news disappointed many fans. Personally, I wasn’t surprised. It doesn’t appear Kandi has completely gotten over the nasty rumor Tamika Scott put out in the press nearly 20 years ago that ultimately broke up the group.

Kandi addressed fans being upset with her decision not to record new music with Xscape Monday morning on Instagram:

I normally don’t post people’s comments but @grammarci really explained how I feel. For those who watch #RHOA & say I should just get over the false accusations that Porsha said about me last year need to leave me alone. You can’t just falsely accuse someone of trying to drug you & take advantage of you on camera with the intent of defaming them & think it’s just gonna be ok a month later. I’m still dealing with trolls who have taken what she said & run with it even though the truth came out that it was a lie. Swipe left to see the other comment from a troll putting #kandiakabillcosby under my post about Xscape when we were kids! That post has nothing to do with Porsha or RHOA… Trolls randomly started putting that hashtag under my post when they first aired the lie that Porsha said. I normally try to block delete the comment but I figure maybe some of you need to see it. This is my REAL life not my REEL life like @grammarci said. If the truth wouldn’t have came out some of y’all would’ve been putting me in the box with some of those predators that are being put on blast right now. All because her ass was spreading lies about me on national tv. So stop putting a timeline on when I’m suppose to forgive & forget….
