STEM Its The Way Of The Future, Are Your Kids Ready

Today we talked to Dr. Cynthia Sutherland CEO, and founder of TriSec Solutions, LLC and Brenda McCain of Metro Warriors STEM Organization. TRiSec Solutions, LLC is hosting this year’s STEM Zone for the 6th Annual Tots for Teens Expo on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m at the Sports & Learning Complex in Landover. The event provides hands-on STEM enrichment activities to kids of all ages in the hopes of inspiring them to be more enthusiastic about their future encounters with STEM. There will be numerous hands-on activities including the building of marshmallow towers, free form Lego Build, Robotics, video gaming, drone flying, coding and much more. In addition, to these actives’ information about STEM scholarships, summer camps and year-round activities will be shared with attendees.

McCain’s organization hosts an “All Things STEM” enrichment program that starts in September and extends until March.  She stressed that STEM and the services they provide are for any and everyone. She shared her fervent passion for this field that lacks personnel on every level, emphasizing the fact that STEM is about engaging creativity and building upon that and the importance of kids being exposed as soon as possible. No age is too young or too old.
