Blizzard 2016 Information & Updates

Metrobus Service ends at 5pm and Metro Rail Service ends at 11pm


Prince George’s County Waste Collection Services have been suspended for today.  Visit www.mypgc.us for updates and alert information.


Motorists in DC are urged to remove their vehicles from snow emergency routes.  Otherwise, they will be ticketed and towed.  As of this afternoon, more than 2,100 tickets have been issued and nearly 100 cars towed.  Stay tuned to WHUR 96.3FM for details on when the snow emergency will be lifted in DC or log on to the city’s snow emergency website at www.snow.dc.gov.

Montgomery County Ride On Service ends at 5pm


The Washington Capitals Game has been postponed tonight.  The Washington Wizards game for tomorrow night as been postponed as well.


DC National Guard will help DC cope with the Blizzard of 2016 providing more than 100 personnel and 30 vehicles.
