  • Je’Caryous Johnson’s hit stage play “Two Can Play That Game” kicks off tomorrow night at the Warner Theater and runs through Sunday. For ticket information go to:


  • “The Soul Queen of New Orleans” Irma Thomas along with the Blind Boys of Alabama are at the Strathmore this Sunday. Show time is 4:30.


  • Tonight you can check out Morris Day and the Time at the Birchmere. The party kicks off at 7:30


  • On Saturday Conya Doss performs at Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club. Doors open at 6,  show time is 8pm.


  • Grammy Winner Roy Hargrove is at Blues Alley tonight through Sunday for two shows each night, 8 & 10pm.


  • The Howard Theatre presents Musiq SoulChild this Sunday for a 7:30 performance.

  • ‘Nina Simone: Four Women’
    Nina Simone’s voice was a pillar of the Civil Rights Movement, and this production explores the profound effect that the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing of 1963 had on Simone, her work and the nation. Featuring some of the singer’s most powerful songs, audiences will be inspired by playwright Christina Ham’s journey into the psyche of an iconic artist and activist. Four Womenruns through Dec. 24 at Arena Stage.
