Music producer and executive Bryan “Birdman” Williams, is under fire after a leaked phone call has surfaced from the 2015 Lil Wayne tour bus shooting incident. In 2015 it was speculated that Birdman, currently engaged to singer Toni Braxton, and rapper Young Thug played a role in the shooting of rapper Lil Wayne’s tour bus. Even though Jimmy “PeeWee Roscoe” Winfrey confessed to the crime, that was later overturned in court, this new evidence shows he wasn’t the only person involved.

Complex reports, during a phone call between Birdman and Winfrey, Birdman exclaims, “It’s time for you to come out here and get your money, man…You done did everything you could do… It’s an eye-opener, bruh. Strictly business, man.”

According to local Atlanta station WSB-TVrecords have also surfaced showing Young Thug calling Winfrey 8 times in 12 minutes just before the shooting. With the new evidence continuing to unfold, WSB-TV reported that the Cobb County District Attorney’s office plans to make a decision on whether to go forward with charges against Birdman and Young Thug. The leaked phone call and records come right after the new release of Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V and him winning his legal battle against Cash Money Records.

With the new evidence surfacing, Birdman is also being sued by the driver of the 2015 shooting incident. The driver, Alvin Lewis, is suing Birdman, his labels Cash Money and Young Money Records, Young Thug, and Jimmy Winfrey for the alleged shooting. He is suing for assault and battery, breach of contract, and intentional infliction of distress. According to Rolling Stone Lewis states that he was, “in immediate fear of death and severe bodily harm by attacking and attempting to kill him without any just provocation or cause.”

Birdman has a lot on his plate, from dealing with the leaked phone calls, to the lawsuit, to his delayed wedding with Grammy award-winning artist Toni Braxton. As reported in a previous WHUR article, the couple pushed back their wedding date due to “chaotic schedules” and now it looks like the couple might have to push back the wedding date again with the allegations against Birdman, if there is a wedding.

Since new evidence has surfaced, Birdman could face charges in co-conspiracy, battery and assault, and more which would affect his career, his rocky relationship with rapper Lil Wayne, and his wedding and soon to be marriage with Toni Braxton.

***Coincidentally as I was searching for a picture of the couple on Toni’s Instagram page, all photos of her with Birdman have conveniently disappeared.
