Flippin’ the Script – A Social Experiment on Men

Is street harassment a one sided point of view?

There has been a video floating around the internet about a woman who spent 10 hours walking around New York City and it’s being called ‘street harassment.’ We thought the video accurately depicted the type of experiences some women receive while simply taking a walk up the street to grab a cup of coffee.

It would seem that men don’t realize that some women feel harassed by their flirty behavior.

Flippin’ the Script

We decided to “Flip the Script” and conducted a social experiment to see how men would react if women approached them with the same type of flirtatious comments.

We thought that men would respond favorably to our friendly assertions. But, we were not prepared for some of their reactions. See below…

It would seem that men enjoy the flirty behavior and are actually ready to take the conversation to the next level; which, is probably why they have no qualms about flirting with women walking down the street.

If you didn’t see the original video “10 Hours of Walking in NYC as a Woman,” watch it here.
