Waiting on Grand Jury Decision in Missouri

An announcement is expected any time about the Missouri grand jury that’s deciding whether a white police officer should be indicted for shooting and killing an unarmed black teenager.  The death of Michael Brown triggered protests in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson months ago.  

Investigation into the Police Shooting of a 12 Year Old in Cleveland, Ohio

Cleveland police are reviewing video evidence showing the shooting death of a 12-year-old boy holding a toy gun.  The video has only been released to the victim’s family.  The family has yet to watch it.  The representatives of the family have seen it and are conducting their own investigation.  The boy, who has been identified as Tamir Rice, was shot outside the a recreation center Saturday afternoon while holding a BB-gun. 

UVA Fraternities Suspended After Rape Allegations

University of Virginia student groups speak out after a published report of an alleged gang rape at a fraternity house.  At a news conference this morning, UVA Student Council President Jalen Ross spoke about a perceived campus culture that puts females at risk.  The university president is suspending all fraternity activities until February after “Rolling Stone” reported a female student claimed seven men raped her at a frat party two years ago.
