Obama Cuban visit dates are released…

President Obama has just tweeted that he and the first lady will be headed to Cuba on March 21st and 22 nd. It’s just one of his stops on his Latin American tour. Obama will become the first sitting U.S. President to visit the country in 88 years.

Other local leaders have plans to visit Cuba, this weekend…

A 41 member delegation of leaders from Maryland, DC and Virginia is headed to Cuba on a 5 day exploratory mission starting on Saturday. The group includes DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett.

A new site for the Mystic’s breaks ground…

At 4 this afternoon a demolition ceremony will take place at the old St. Elizabeth Hospital in S.E.. The site will be converted into multimillion dollar 5 thousand square feet entertainment and sports facility for the Mystics. It will also be a practice place for the Wizards.

NW Mansion murder suspect due back in court…

Daron Wint is due back in court tomorrow to answer to a 20 count indictment by a grand jury in the NW mansion murders. Wint is the only person charged in the brutal torture and killings of a family of three, including a 10 year old boy and their housekeeper. Prosecutors say the investigation is ongoing.

For a time, Taylor even spoke with a British accent. Well now she resides in the DC area and for the past three years has worked as the news anchor for The Steve Harvey Morning Show on WHUR. Recently, Taylor has adopted the Washington Redskins as her most loved pro sports team.
