Entire DC area is under a “Heat Advisory”…

The National Weather Service has placed the entire WHUR listening area under a “Heat Advisory” until 8 p.m.. The heat and humidity will make it feel like 100 degree’s. We are also under a Code Orange Air Quality Alert today as well.

Police search for driver involved in a deadly hit and run this morning on Suitland Parkway…

One person is dead and another is in the hospital following a two car collision at Firth Sterling and Suitland Parkway this morning. The victim has not been identified. Police believe speed may have played a role in the crash.

Police search for another possible road rage shooter, this time on the BW Parkway…

Police are searching for the person who shot into a vehicle hitting two people inside along the BW Parkway at 450. The two victims were treated at an area hospital, one remains under a doctor’s care. The incident happened around 10 last night and police are looking for witnesses. Investigators believe this could be a case of road rage.

Criminal charges have been dropped against a UVA student bloody up by ABC agents…

Charges have been dropped against the UVA Student seen in cell phone footage bloodied after ABC agents arrested him. 17 year old Martese Johnson appeared in court this morning to learn of the decision. Johnson says his arrest was racially motivated. Virginia Governor Terry Mcauliffe has ordered an investigation into the incident.
