Protestors Disrupt Mall Of America, Minneapolis Airport

Black Lives Matter protests are disrupting business as usual in Minneapolis.  One protest led to a lockdown at the Mall of America.  Another protest is blocking traffic at the Minneapolis St. Paul Airport.  The protestors are calling for justice in the matter of Jamar Clark.  Clark was unarmed when he was shot to death by a police officer last month.  Police are threatening to arrest protestors blocking traffic at the airport.

Woman Who Drove Into Crowd On Strip On Suicide Watch

Attorneys for the woman accused of driving into a crowd on the Las Vegas Strip say she is distraught and on suicide watch.  Lakeisha Holloway made her first court appearance today.  She did not enter a plea and waived her right to a 15-day preliminary hearing.  Prosecutors say Holloway intentionally ran over the people on the sidewalk.  Holloway faces charges including murder, leaving the scene of an accident and child abuse in connection with the rundown that killed one person and injured dozens more.  Holloway’s next court date is set for January 20th.

Funeral For Man Killed In Crash

A Morgan State University student killed by a suspected drunk driver in a car crash is being laid to rest today in Landover.  Almost one-thousand mourners attended the funeral of 20-year-old Adedire Ososanya.  The accident happened last week along Route 202 when a car crossed the center line and struck Ososanya’s vehicle.  A GoFundMe webpage has been set up to help pay for funeral expenses

Grand Jury Indicts Driver In Tracy Morgan Crash

A grand jury in New Jersey is issuing an indictment against the truck driver behind the wheel in a crash that injured comedian Tracy Morgan and killed another comedian.  Walmart trucker Kevin Roper is being charged with aggravated manslaughter, vehicular homicide and eight counts of aggravated assault.  Investigators say Roper had been up for 28 hours and was speeding when his truck slammed into Morgan’s vehicle on the New Jersey Turnpike in June 2014.  The “30 Rock” and “Saturday Night Live” star suffered a serious brain injury and broken bones, and comedian James “Jimmy Mack” McNair was killed.
