Kidnapping Suspect in Virginia

The man suspected of kidnapping a woman off the streets of Philadelphia is now in Virginia.  37 year old Delvin Barnes will face charges linked to the violent abduction of a teenage girl last month in the Richmond area.  Barnes was arrested on Wednesday in Maryland. He was charged with the kidnapping of 22 year old Carlesha Freeland-Gaither. 

Gillespie Conceeds Virginia’s U.S. Senate Race

Virginia republican senate candidate Ed Gillespie hasconceeded the race to incumbent Democrat Mark Warner.  Warner had claimed a very narrow victory on election night, but Gillespie said he wanted to make sure all the votes were counted. He didn’t want to put Virginians through a recount.

More U.S. Troops to Iraq 

President Barack Obama has approved sending 1,500 more U.S. troops to Iraq. A senior military official says the military advisory teams will now go to Iraq’s western Anbar province where Islamic State militants have been gaining ground and killing men, women and children.
